Today is Christmas Eve. We're still stuck here in Houston on my "no travel" restriction. I've been kind of sad all day that I can't be at home with my family like we always are, but I got to spend the day with Pat, which is always nice. We had a nice dinner and opened our gifts tonight. Dinner wasn't as great as it would have been at my mom's house, but I made us cheese fondue for an appetizer, some parmesan crusted chicken with potatoes for dinner, and chocolate fondue for dessert. My doctor will probably say I gained too much weight these past 2 weeks... oh well. It's not fair that my appointment is the day after Christmas!
Pat gave me a beautiful ring for Christmas that I love. It's 3 silver rings that are interlocking. One of them is engraved with his name, one with mine, and one with Collin's name. I think Stoli liked her Christmas gift too... she got a stuffed beaver to play with and some delicious doggy treats in her stocking.
In baby news..
We are finally getting around to putting together the nursery. The furniture is in there, but we haven't put the linens or anything on the bed. We finally washed the the new linens we got for the twin bed in there, and went to buy the crib bedding. Hopefully tomorrow or the next day we'll actually get it all put up, and I'll post some pictures of how the nursery is coming along. Collin also got tons of Christmas gifts already. What a lucky baby he's going to be. I even got a gift from him for Christmas! Pat was nice enough to wrap it for him ;) He gave me a cute "Build-A-Bear" 3D cake pan. I'm gonna have to perfect them before he actually makes his appearance for a cake of his own. From my dad, we got a really cool jogging stroller. I can't wait to use it! My mom sent us some neat sports accessories for the nursery AND these are totally awesome... some rock CD's that are made into lullabys. Haha... My favorite is U2. She also sent the Beatles and the Beach Boys. Pat and I were listening to the U2 one in the car yesterday. We thought it was so funny that the first track to a lullaby CD is "Sunday Bloody Sunday." Now we just need to get Collin a sweet black leather jacket like Bono...

I hope our child is nothing like Bono.
ReplyDeleteI agree...although I think the Edge is cool. That wool hat he always wears must get hot though. Merry Christmas.
